The Borg Torch Relay.

The ongoing discussions about the behavior of ex pat Pro-Chinese students during the Long Olympic Torch March saga begs many questions about their confusing motives. Might I contribute?

There are many things at play here, Occam seems to bone out everything but this: The Chinese have, for the last 40 years, been applying tight population controls on themselves -- the "One Child Policy". Every Chinese student in the country has been raised as an "Only Child". In the West, single children are mainly represented in the higher income professional classes. In China it's across the board, albeit only the higher-status adults can afford to send their children off to the West for their education.

What behavior best describes rich kids, of any nationality, who are raised as "treasured" single children? What is the prime motivation of their nationalistic parents who have thrived in a totalitarian mindset? This behavior is only the Costello of the Iceberg. I will be looking to Chinese "Borg" assimilation for the final great cosmic Imperialist roller-skate ride to shit city.

(This is not about the Chinese, this is about the entire species of semi-sentient apes defecating on everything that moves.)
